Bits and bobs

Bell Pepper SkewersSorry it’s been a while! Life just got rather busy between jobs and building.

Luck has been on my side and I must be doing something right as the work keeps coming which is always a bonus when you’re self-employed!

These last few months I have been working with my regulars Wild Bean Café, Wendy’s and Pam’s as well as lots of yummy Christmas focused products. I think I have done 6 Christmas day dinners already this year at its not even December. I am sure it makes it harder to choose what I will be cooking on the big day.

Although this year will be extra special as we will be in the new house and I have invited all the family for a Christmas eve BBQ and then champagne breakfast … with more arriving for Christmas day lunch… and then thinking about boxing day races picnic – it’s a foodie wonderland!

I will let you know when the menu’s confirmed!

Whoops back to work things …yay I have been asked to continue as the Best Foods Mayonnaise NZ ambassador for another year, or as I am known at school: “Mrs Mayo”!

It’s such a pleasure to work with a great brand that’s so well loved, it seems everywhere you go someone has a special recipe or way with Best Foods Mayo.

I also got to work on a few other related products …Colman’s mustard, horseradish and mint sauce, all great condiments with so many recipe options.

I worked with photographer Melanie Jenkins from Flash studios on several shoots recently…

Food Snob a very cool brand with super tasty antipasto treats – look out for my favourite tangy Bell peppers filled with cream cheese and their gorgeous bright green Sicilian olives.

More fantastic Bidvest products – this time it was a meat feast. And making Nestle food service products into pretty photos and delicious recipes.

I am back working with the lovely Mr Nick Tresidder of Nick Tresidder Photography on Pizza Hut which is an awesome cheesy challenge!

I have also recently teamed up with Food Magazine and their gorgeous bubbly Editor Catherine, and Jae Frew behind the camera to write recipes and style for them. It’s always a nice feeling to have your recipes out there for people to enjoy.

Lots of fun family times recently too with my sister and brother-in-law buying a bach in Whangamata …roll on summer and bring out the BBQ! And the opening of their new foodie establishment, Ember, in Hamilton.

Oh how I do love the silly season and our nearly one year old nephew will be the true delight this Christmas. And of course our two lovely daughters who just can’t wait to be in their new rooms and pool for the summer and Christmas morning.

Bring on Christmas!
